Following Singapore standards 578 : 2019 clause 7.2:
Extinguishers shall be conspicuously located in locations where they will be readily accessible and immediately available in the event of fire.
In certain locations where visual obstruction cannot be completely avoided, signs (see SS 508-3) shall be provided to indicate the location.
Some examples of fire extinguisher being hidden directly or indirectly include being placed recessed cabinets or walls, where normal eye level vision is obstructed such as a furniture or clothes shop.
In the event of a fire, the fire extinguisher A frame signage will be best visual indicator of where the fire extinguisher is located at. This in turn allows the fire fighter to have faster access to a fire extinguisher and more time to put out the incipient fire.
How to paste this fire extinguisher sticker
Before pasting the sticker, ensure that the surface to be pasted on is smooth. A rough or dirty surface will greatly reduce the life span of any sticker. After cleaning, wait for the surface to dry. Finally, paste the sticker slowly to avoid bubbles.
