Description
In Singapore, all fire hoses in service, standby fire hoses, dry riser inlets and landing valves come with the British Standard connection. These connections are made to British Standard 336 or BS 336 in short. The female end comes with two spring loaded ears to quickly release the coupling connections.
In BS336, there is no 2″ tail hose connection. The official dimensions only come in 1.5″ and 2.5″. As there are no official standard dimensions for the 2″ hose tail version, it is possible that 2 sets of 2″ hose tail BS 336 couplings will not be able to properly couple.
